Hi ABQ RE Investors, I will be in the area from May 6th -10th and wanted to know if there are any meet-ups happening during that time? Would love to meet up with local investors and wholesalers in the ABQ market. If there isn't any official meet-up happening, maybe we can meet up at La Cumbre or another place for an Impromptu meet-up?

Welcome to Ales & Assets, a San Diego-based meetup group focused on real estate investing. We host casual meetups at a local brewery on the third Sunday of every month, giving you the opportunity to network, talk all things cash flow, share experiences, and ask questions. Meetups are open to seasoned investors, new investors, and those looking to learn more and get started. We'll talk about multi-family investing, short-term rentals, flipping, long-term rentals, and everything in between. We look forward to meeting you! If you have any questions please reach out to @Mel Adams or myself.

@Samira Schadt Yeah, you also gave yourself 3 months padding on the month to month to find something. In reality, you would start looking at least 4 months to go in your lease and then hopefully find something before the lease is up, saving you that 3 months of 6600. Best of luck, look forward to following your journey.

Meet us at Duck Foot Brewing in Miramar at 1:00 pm this Sunday (3/20) for our first meetup! The purpose is to be able to meet and network with other local investors, swap stories, and ask questions. It'll be laid back, and is open to all levels including those looking to get into real estate investing. We're going to meet in their outside seating area.

Shoot me or @Mel Adams a message if you can make it or have questions - We hope to see you there!

Good question, I would wait the additional 12 months, that's an extra 35K that you could potentially have to purchase or rehab a property. The potential downside to waiting is the price increase for properties, can you sign a 6 mo lease and then go month to month after that? It could take you some time to actually find the property that makes sense for your investment strategy, so month to month could really help make the choice a little easier.
