What does a new real estate agent make on average? I'm considering being one to help with investing so was curious.

Ex software developer here. Got a computer-science and mathematics degree. Then spent 8 years in corporate America with 4 years being for a Fortune 100 company. I just got really bored and hate sitting in an office 10 hours a day and then 2-3 hours a day in my car. That's not counting the time spent on re-education. I even spent 4 years in management but always thought there was more to work then that. After 1-2 years I was looking for something else. I've done tons since then bought restaurants, created a marketing company and managed professional athletes. I absolutely love real estate.

Tricia O'Brien to me it might be tough. All my experience I actually went to each property and checked them out in person. I'm sure people have done it without seeing them but just not something I have ever done. I've always been big on boots on the ground but that's just me. I enjoy doing that stuff. I've always enjoyed going out and doing stuff.

John Weidner yeah totally getting them for the cash flow. The only appreciation would be from me buying them well below market. I'm not big on traditional appreciation in IL outside of Chicago. To me just too hard to predict cause I'm a fairly new investor.
