It seems that a lot of people just use Excel.

Any recommendations on a template to use, or did you just design it completely from scratch? - 50 hours is a lot of time!

Kyle

I have been looking at various property management software applications that exist, and Buildium seems to be an extremely popular one.

Considering that it costs a minimum of $40 a month however, it seems like it might be a bit of overkill for a person looking to manage only a couple of properties.

Has anyone found this to be the case, or is Buildium still the best option even if you only have a few tenants?

What alternative softwares have you used, and what problems have you ran into as a result of using these?

Thanks,

Kyle

I am working for an (extremely new) real estate crowdfunding company.

As a startup that has just launched last week, we have very few links to our site. As a result we do not rank very high in Google or other major search engines.

What strategies have you guys found successful for improving your search engine ranking, and building backlinks?

I remember a couple of years back people were posting links in "dofollow" blog comments - is that still an effective strategy?

Thanks,

Kyle

We are thinking of coinvesting into a student housing project near Brown University (Rhode Island). The stats look great, but we aren’t familiar with the local market. Has anyone done any student housing, or any other projects around Brown University? Any insight into this?

Hello @Justin Pierce,

The platform I am working for is called Interactive Shares.

We just launched officially last week, but have been working on it for longer.

Also I saw that you are from Virginia. You may be interested to know that we are part of the 1776 incubator in DC.

Hello Everyone,

This is my first post on this forum.

I am a college student in Washington, DC (I know my profile says otherwise) who is working for a real estate crowdfunding platform.

I have just started following this website, and listening to the Bigger Pocket's podcast.

I look forward to continuing to follow the forum and learning from everyone's experience in real estate,

Kyle
