@Mayda Searfoss I don't recommend Macon GA. Too many unsold houses in that area.

@Jeff Schneider I used zillow to research Phoenix, AZ and the rent-to-price ratio does not even reach 1%. How can you say it's better there?

Just out of curious, what is the rent-to-price ratio in that city you are buying?

Does anyone know which city has the highest rent-to-price ratio and lowest unoccupied rental ratio? 

Rent-to-price ratio means if a house is purchase for $100K while on a rent of 1000, the rent-to-price ratio is 1%.

Please provide reason, or stat, or personal experience.
