@Jim Keller

Speaking of flipping, I keep hearing that the market in SoCal is saturated with investors who want to flip and that its become very difficult to find rehab properties. Any thoughts?

@Joel Owens Do you follow the calculations and steps in Timing the Real Estate Market (Robert Campbell) pretty closely?

Hi all,

Does anyone know of a book that would help in understanding how the RE market cycle works? I'm new to investing and want to be able to make an educated decision as to when the best time to invest in a market would be. Obviously, one can never know for sure, but to know some indicators would help.

Hi @Jim Keller,

Thanks for the insight. Is there more than one chapter in SoCal? Or are there just a bunch of meetups all over?

I'd love to check out these meetings.

Hi all,

I'm new to RE investing and I'm considering checking out my local REIA chapter, attend some meetings and seeing what it's all about. I mainly want to do it to network with other RE investors and professionals, and maybe learn a thing or two. Would you guys recommend it?

Hi Julie! Welcome to the BP Community. I highly suggest you check out the webinars and podcasts.

Hi Shannon,

Welcome to the BP Community! I recently signed up myself and have just found a ton of information to learn from. I highly recommend you attend the webinars and listen to the podcasts. I've learned quite a bit already from them and have gotten quite a bit of motivation.

@Michelle Watt Would you mind sending me your research too please?
