Thanks @Dave Foster for your response. The entity is in Trinidad and Tobago but owns the US property. I guess the simplest and cleanest would be to sell and pay the tax in the foreign entity and then use the local LLC going forward.

Hello everyone,

I have a foreign entity that owns a SFR and I also have a local entity. I have intentions of selling the property in the foreign entity and I want to do a 1031 exchange but ideally, I will like to transfer the new asset (from the 1031) into the local entity.

What is the best way to go about doing this?

Welcome Christopher. BP is a great start. There are lots of webinars, books, forums, podcast etc. that you can read and listen to. You can get to them in the education link. Ask your questions in the forums and you'll get answers. 

There are beginner guides that you can start with and by networking you'll also be able to find a mentor/coach and you can learn through him/her.
