@Joshua McMillion thank you Sir! I am actually looking into doing the House hacking, I'm more than likely going to be checking out the Corps this year so I'll be using my VA Loan to get a tri-plex hopefully a four-plex if possible and stay in one of the units. And thank you for those questions to ask lenders, that gives me some control and things to look out for when I begin to choose which lender it's best for me. Appreciate you taking the time to guide me it the right direction!

@Jonathan Klemm thank you for your support, I’m working on getting my credit score higher first and I’m actually actively working on that right now as I’m typing this lol. But I’d definitely be willing to speak with you and learn. Appreciate the support!

@Paul De Luca awesome! That’s good to know I was wondering about that but that cleared it up for me, thank you. And I definitely will be interested in the lenders information!

@Forrest Williams thank you! Would you recommend going to more of the big banks (chase, Citi bank, BOA) or do you think I should try smaller private banks when it comes to the VA Loan? And I haven't checked the forum out yet but I definitely will.

@Paul De Luca thank you! So I’ve been looking around on Redfin and Zillow and I’ve been looking at different properties on that app and have a few saved. I haven’t went to a bank yet to get pre-approved but now that you said to do so so I can see what I can afford I’ll definitely make that step. Would attempting to get pre-approved affect my credit score?

@Paul De Luca my goal is to use my VA Loan to purchase a rental property. I'd stay in one unit and rent out the others. My questions are all based on what's the steps I have to take before I contact the bank for a loan? And and the process that follows that? I know credit plays a part in this so I'm currently working on building my current score.
