Ok Chris. I’m still new here, how do I send a private message?

Thanks Wilson. I just tried that link and it seems to be like other sites I’ve tried, it wants me to subscribe before it gives me anything.

I’m trying to get information on a few vacant homes in my area but coming up with dead ends. The websites I’ve come across not only charge, but don’t seem legitimate. Does anyone know where I could go or what websites I could use to get the information and get it free?

Thanks Jody. I will be in touch soon. Your email address isn’t on your profile though.
Thanks for all the advice guys. I am doing more research on this property and hopefully it’s still on the market in a couple months when I should be in a position to be able to put in an offer. I drove past it the other day and the outside appears in good condition and it looks like all four units are currently rented. I will update you guys if I get it.

Thanks Josh. Just one more reason it’s past time for me to start investing in rentals so asap I can quit my full time job.

I want to buy my first rental this coming year and then keep on buying and ASAP my goal is to quit my full time job. I drive a semi full time and I’m a part time firefighter/EMT (I will always keep doing that though). When do I have to take a salary from my rental business do I don’t get in trouble from the IRS as long as I can afford to live off the part time FF/EMT.
So I found a four unit apartment building for sale nearby that I really want but I think the asking price is way too high. I’m in Radcliff KY and I found this apartment building on Zillow. The asking price is 275k but looking more on the website there was an identical building a block over that recently sold for 170k (at least that’s what Zillow says in the recently sold section). How accurate is that recently sold section of their app? If it’s accurate I’d have to give a starting offer of about half of what they’re asking to make a decent cash flow. Oh yeah, average rent in the immediate area is $650 for them.
