My husband and I have had lots of success with "house hacking" our primary residence with Airbnb. There is enough demand that we can rent it pretty much anytime we want. There are lots of cleaning services that you can hire. The prior post covers the laws well and those are important to consider. The short term rental tax is 8.5% and that's paid each month.

I read a couple of interesting articles this evening and thought I would share.  It's interesting to think about the new real estate market trends, niches, and possibilities of the future.  Even in the last few years we've seen a tremendous increase in the popularity of short term rentals like AirBnB.  What changes do you foresee in the future in the world of real estate? Are there any changes that you are really excited about? Why?

Great questions Pedro. I can't answer any of them, but I second Michael's thought. I went once to learn, but would want to go a couple more times before I was ready to purchase there.

Congratulations! It looks great.  Do you have any "before" pictures? It would be neat to see the transformation.  Any advice after this project?

If he will indeed be working out of Jeffersonville, New Albany & Clarksville are neighboring little cities, also in IN.  I lived in New Albany for a time & my husband lived in Clarksville.  We both liked our little areas.
