Hello BP Community.

I am an investor from Seattle, WA. I work full time, like my job and want to build my real estate portfolio for retirement. My family has multifamily units in the Seattle area.

I have experience managing my family's rentals, buy and hold deals and am currently house hacking my home in Seattle to students. I am looking to expend my portfolio to Wisconsin. I have been researching the Milwaukee are but open to other cities. I read and listen  to podcasts/post on BP all the time.

I met a gentleman @ a meetup who mentioned he heard of folks switching from a traditional 401k @ Boeing into a self directed under the age of 59 1/2. I wasn't so sure so I thought I get feedback from the BP community. Would be nice to leverage my current 401k to purchase re.

Hi - Has anyone transferred their 401k from Boeing (while still employeed there) to a self directed 401k? So far, It's been hearsay and haven't met anyone who has actually done this. 

I would like to make the switch if possible!
