Post: What do you look for when looking for lenders?

@Brad Hammond thanks for the help! My lendor is everything, except responsive, but I feel like I need to earn my spot on his “list”, so that when I contact him, he’s on it. And a second thing, so since I’m getting pre approved with my lendor now, do I have to get pre approved with other lenders that I feel that I like? Or do I just wait till I put a house under contract, and then take the deal to them and see who would give me the best deal?

Hey guys, I’m currently in the process of getting pre approved with a lender that I’ve been working with and in contact with for a couple months now. I’m just wondering if I should look around for more lenders?? And also, what do you look for in a lender that separates them from others. Thank you!!

Thanks @Andreis Bergeron for the help! I’d like to connect with you and learn more. I don’t really know that many people who have the same interests as I do.

Thanks @Kenneth McKeown for the reply!! What areas are you seeing appreciate more than others? I’ve noticed that Frisco is pretty crazy appreciation, also Richardson and Plano.

Thanks @Rob Lee for the help! And yes, that’s what I’ve been hearing. So I have contacted a lendor that I worked with before, however, do you have any lenders in mind that you’d recommend to me? I’d really want to gather up some references, get to know them, and really dial down on one lendor. Thanks again for the help!

hey all, im a currently new to REI. Ive been listening to podcasts, reading a ton of books and practice running numbers on deals for the past 6 months. Now as my lease comes to an end in September, i feel like its time to start looking for Realtors and Lendors so i can get in a househack. Im really wanting to get into a duplex, using an FHA 3.5% down. However, ive been looking at the prices and how much they can rent for, and it seems like I would not be cash flowing at all, and i would be simply paying more than i am paying for rent at my apartment. I am fully aware of the benefits of owning my own property, so i am wanting to know others feedback or past experiences with househacking in a similar market where price points are high, and you will have to be covering about 50% of the PITI as well as tips on anything to do with househacking. Thank you!!!

Post: Student Rentals> Renting by the Bedroom Regulations

Hey guys. Im wanting to get into student rentals. I've heard a lot of pro's and con's, and i just totally believe that this is a very good niche, assuming that students in my desired location rotate a lot quicker than other colleges. The only thing I have been stuck on is the housing regulations, like renting by the bedroom. Due to the weather lately, all the Dallas County offices are closed, and its really bugging me. Ive been searching high and low on the county websites looking for answers. I am looking to buy a SFH with 4 bed 3bath, more than 2k square ft. What i want to know is how many rentors am i allowed to have under once roof? Does the house need to be zoned as a Townhouse? Parking situations? I just figured to ask on BP since the county offices have been closed due to the weather. Thank you in advance!!!
