Hello,

I PCS'd here 1 years ago and fell in love with the area and never left.  Hampton And Norfolk are great areas to invest and you should be able to find something fairly quickly.

To add to Alex's excellent posts be also on lookout for polybutylene piping in houses.  Rental properties are in high demand in our area due to a lot of investors putting their homes on the vacation rental market.  Makes the regular rentals harder to come by in the right areas.  Safe travels!

Get with an agent that is able to recommend properties that will cash flow for you. Instead of digging around everywhere you can focus on a set course. You are fortunate to have the option of using your VA loan which will make things much easier. You will have to live in the properties for a set amount of time before you can rent it out per VA guidelines. There are plenty of VA loan specialists in our area that can help guide you. Otherwise just realize that with risk comes reward and it is totally normal to be nervous. This stuff is exciting!

Hello,

Chris Graff with MMCG off Newtown Rd.  Very responsive.  He is a lawyer and a CPA so he can help with most areas of small biz.  Zuckerman and assoc are good as well.  Ted Colna from there works the most in the construction/real estate area. Sullivan, andrews and taylor specialize in working with contractors/builders.

Good luck!

Hi Brian,

What price point do you think you will be shooting for for rents in Jax?  May be able to help with the prop manager. I used to live there for 15 years so let me know if you want to know about different areas.  I would look around Mayport myself and off heckshire dr.
