Hi Selton!  Welcome to BP.  I'm a newbie myself, but I can certainly recommend some actionable steps that have already helped answer a lot of questions for me: READ, LISTEN, and MEET PEOPLE.  

Books that have helped me (so far!) "Rich Dad, Poor Dad", BP's "Beginner's Guide to Real Estate Investing", Brandon Turner's "Guide to Rental Property Investing", and "Millionaire Real Estate Investor".

Listen to the BP podcasts!

Google your area's REI meetups and REIA meetings. I've only been to a couple so far, but have met some great people!

Good luck on your RE journey, and try not to become obsessed :)

Hey @Julien Walthour, I'm a newbie myself but got turned on to Real Estate the same way most folks did... By reading "Rich Dad, Poor Dad"!  That led me to the Biggerpockets "Ultimate Beginner's Guide".  I recommend both books in getting started.  I also listen to tons of podcasts all day.  Bottom line: BP has been an incredible resource in both education and networking... you're in the right place!
