New investor from Rochester NY

Hello BP!

I'm a software developer currently in San Jose CA, but will be moving to the Rochester NY area next summer—I grew up there, but have been in CA for the past 12 years. I stumbled on BP from a podcast episode Josh Dorkin did on the Radical Personal Finance podcast, and have been hooked.

I've recently begun binge learning on real estate investing, and am looking specifically into single and multi-family rentals in the Rochester area to starting investing. I've been exploring the buy-rehab-refinance-hold strategy, but am also interested in possibly doing a flip at some point as well.

I'd love to start connecting with other investors in Rochester and learn about other creative investment strategies that are possible in this area.
