@Cal C. I think many of us have all lost deals to some back room deals that we may or may not be able to prove. I’ve walked away from some dealings with other agents that make me shake my head (I am also an Agent). I just move on and find the next deal since I won’t let me feelings about the situation cloud me in any way. There plenty out there for everyone. Sorry this happened but it’s the business we are in. It doesn’t have to be and shouldn’t but the reality is - it is.

@Chris Hanisco don’t feel bad. I get it though. You’re running a business, not babysitting. Think of it that way. It is what it is and you’ll have to keep emotion out of it. Good luck.

@DuBeaux Dingle I am! If I look at my office of 70 agents- there are a handful of us who invest. I see lots of Agents who rely on it as their sole job to pay bills and thats it. Of course Agent/investors are a different breed.

@Kwame Darko it doesn’t seem like there’s a lot of “meat on the bone”- especially if your hoa fees increase for a special assessment.

@Russell Caraotta try Facebook marketplace or hire a realtor to list it on the MLS. You can also try local facebook groups for your town (and surrounding towns).

@Amanda Anderson save up enough to have 3.5% for an owner occupied m/f. Live in it, fix it up , rent other units out while you live there. Then go from there.

@Jack B. I bought a house that had a fence panel down from the neighbors fence. I didn’t think anything of it until my insurance company told me that they wouldn’t renew my policy unless it was fixed. They must have done a drive by or checked the property via satellite. I repaired it and moved on. Granted it was only 1 fence panel and cost me $50 to have my handyman fix it.

@Keith Hackett it’s standard proactive for real estate. You are actually signing a contract with the Brokerage- not the actual Realtor. In the event that you want another Realtor- the Broker will offer you a replacement. You’ll have to sign with someone eventually if your buying a home that is listed for sale.
