Are a HELOC and a home equity loan the same thing? I own some property that is paid off. I want to take out a loan against it to pay for real estate investing.

I made the jump and reserved a spot. Anyone who was in it last year. Do you have any advice and what did you like best about it?

So if a house under the realtor's company is not getting any bites. Can I offer the realtor seller finance? Would the realtor like that or not? Better than nothing.

For those who were enrolled in the BP Multifamily bootcamp.

How was your experience, what did the bootcamp talk about in regards to the multifamily direction, did it help you personally with your interest in going in the multifamily investing direction?

@Doug Pretorius Should I speak to a local lawyer who has experience with real estate transactions/contracts?

I already have a B-class neighborhood/area of a town I want to invest in. Also, I am going after homes that need to be fixed up that are in the $70k range. So I don't see the point in buying a property with a conventional/FHA loan because of all the hoops to jump through. Then if the property needs rehab. So I am very interested in the seller finance route.

@Doug Pretorius I am also excited about the opportunties this economy situation will bring! I graduated high school in 2009. One year after the recession. Dark times. I oviously was not into real estate investing or ready finacially. But this time I will be!

I am looking to purchase my rental property and I am interested in the seller finacing route. What advice do you have with seller finacing? Lets say motivated seller, house valued at $70k, light rehab nothing major this time.

@Chris Seveney Thank you for answering. Gotta find a lawyer and form a relationship where both of yall are on the same page.

When searching for a lawyer or an account for your real estate investing endeavers. How did you pick a lawyer or account?

@Alex Breshears Thank you for your great advice! I am searching for a paid coaching program I like and think it's genuine FYI because yes having a mentor is a great asset.

@Ryan Taylor Thank you for answering! Great advice! And yes that is the fun part of real estate investing! Yes, I'll continue to educate myself and save money from my W2 consistently. By the end of this year, I'll hit $25k.
