Why should you be sure to come?

  1. Most entertaining/fun meetup around!
  2. Private room reserved to hear each other & network
  3. We always provide time for introductions, haves & wants, & lessons learned - both successes and challenges.
  4. Good food, drinks & full bar, free parking lot

I've bought foreclosures, had long-term holds in the SF Bay, an Airbnb arbitrage business for over 7 years, Virtual Assistants in the Philippines for over 8 years, and over a million in syndications from Multifamily to Self Storage to Mobile Home Parks.
I've traveled the world over the last 6 years to over 50 countries while running my business remotely, and back in the Bay to network and relaunch my SF Bay Summit Real Estate Conference!
While I have many real estate stories to share with you, it's been the diverse range of attendees that come to our networking events that really make it more than worth it!
We also have a meetup group and an Eventbrite invitation for more attendees. So RSVP now and come out to network with other real estate investors and entrepreneurs!
Check out our meetup group to get regular emails about our 4 RE networking events the first week of each month! See why our RE networking group has a 4.9-star rating with over 160 reviews!

And our Facebook group where everyone can share in-person Real Estate Investor Networking events:

At our meetups, you’ll not only gain valuable insights but also connect with fellow investors. Share your experiences, seek advice, and build meaningful connections.

So whether you're a real estate investor in San Leandro, Oakland, Hayward, Berkeley, San Francisco, or Fremont, come out and say hi!

Come out for our very first real estate investor networking in Silver Lake, without all the sales pitches, ********, and hustle of some company-run meetup! Followed by Pub Trivia for something fun afterwards ;) Free meetup: bring a friend and come for either/both.

5:30-7:30PM: Real Estate Investor Networking
8PM: Pub Trivia Starts

There won't be any presentation. Introductions, haves/wants, lessons learned, and open networking to get to know each other. 33 Taps Silver Lake has great beers, full bar, and food, so please support the business and tip your server ;) Free on-site parking; pay your own food & drink bill.

If you have any questions about BRRR, Airbnb, investing with partners/syndications, multifamily, mobile home parks, self storage, going to jail, virtual assistants, event planning, and more, I've participated in all of it! And happy to share!

My name is J Thomas Martin. I've bought foreclosures for long term holds/BRRR, founded an Airbnb arbitrage business over 8 years ago, invested over $2MM with a dozen other real estate investors in over two dozen different deals from multifamily to flips to mobile home parks to self storage.

I've hosted real estate meetup groups for over a decade, and started a real estate conference with speakers like Brandon Turner, Scott Trench, Aaron Mazzrillo, and lots of folks from BiggerPockets.

I've been a digital nomad for almost a decade, and traveled to over 60 countries, mostly spending time in SE Asia, along with some Latin America and Europe - and still love traveling. I also love riding motorcycles, especially offroad, and usually spend part of the winters in Baja riding around on 2 wheels and petting whales.

I also work with an amazing non-profit, Youth Champions, that helps teach personal and professional topics to high school students in Los Angeles County! [https://youth-champions.org/] They'll continue growing in coming years, so if you're interested in having an impact on these Students' lives, let me know or contact them directly :)

At about 7:30PM, some awesome folks from the Youth Champions Network will join in for some general networking before the Pub Trivia starts at 8PM. Feel free to stay past 7:30 to chat together, join our YCN group to chat all together, and/or join us for Trivia :)

I'm excited to meet some new real estate investors, kick some *** at Pub Trivia, and enjoy some other fun events around the area!
Looking forward to seeing you there!

Tom Huong Tran has invited us to join an open house for the grand opening of their AlphaX office in Cupertino. So come out and network with fellow real estate investors, and learn about AlphaX’s plans to deliver new housing across the SF Bay Area in the coming years.

You may recall our previous on-site meetup, where Tom guided us through six single-family homes under construction—this is the same group! Looking forward to seeing you there.

Here's what they have to say about the event:

Greetings Friends and Family!
We cordially invite you to our brand new office grand opening in Cupertino! Our team here at AlphaX RE Capital wants to give an exclusive tour of our 10,000 sq ft office space featuring all of our real estate development team from architects to structural engineers to interior designers all in one space.

Our purpose is to create more affordable housing solutions for California's housing crisis by providing brand new housing units into the market from affordable ADU options to brand new luxury spec homes tailored to your everyday lifestyle. See our projects here: www.alphax-capital.com

This event is open to everyone even if you are new to real estate! Come enjoy local cuisines and refreshments plus network with local investors, city officials, contractors, realtors and find out about all of the local investment opportunities here in the Bay Area.

Special guest speakers include Fiona Ma, our California's State Treasurer, who will deliver New Year’s blessings and celebrate the opening of our new office with us!

Event Date: Wednesday, February 12, 2025, 11:30 AM - 3:00 PM
Event Location: 10050 N. Foothill Blvd, Cupertino, CA 95014

We look forward to celebrating this exciting day with you all!

Come join us at Haley's Real Estate Investor meetup in Walnut Creek!
Haley invited me out to share about syndications, but she has other great guest speakers and networking each month at Rotator Tap Room in Walnut Creek.
Haley is also a real estate investor and agent, so if you're looking for an investment property, be sure to check her out!
Be sure to sign up for her meetup group here to get monthly meeting updates:
https://www.meetup.com/eastbayrealestateinvestingmeetup

Topic: Losing $1M in Syndications + What’s Next?
Speaker: J Martin

J Thomas Martin will be sharing his story about how he lost $1M on syndication investments in Multifamily, Self-Storage, and Mobile Home Parks.

What went wrong?
What can change the outcome?
What's next?

Come learn about deal analysis, risk analysis, the performance of various real estate asset classes, and lessons learned on what to avoid in your own syndications and other investments.

More about J:
After getting out of jail, going back to college, and getting a job analyzing real estate loans and closing down banks during the financial crisis, he was introduced to real estate investing and BiggerPockets.

He bought foreclosures and small multifamily in the SF Bay, started an Airbnb arbitrage business, hired virtual assistants, and quit his government job to explore over 60 countries around the world.

After success getting into passive syndication investing, he sold all his Bay Area properties (gasp!) and invested 100% in syndications.

When J isn't busy losing money, he runs a business & AI consulting firm, real estate investing meetups in the SF Bay, and is in the process of negotiating a venue for a big real estate conference around February 2026. He also volunteers at Youth Champions where he teaches high school students about personal and professional development.

If you'd like to join his meetups in San Leandro, SF, or Redwood City on the first week of each month, subscribe to his meetup here:
https://www.meetup.com/remeetup
And if you'd like to support a great non-profit, check out Youth Champions!
