I have seen the REI club in Killeen. Does anyone know of one in Temple? I, honestly, don't have a problem coming to Killeen to meet and network with people, just wondering about anything here....

@Anjana Vakil Welcome to BP!  As a Central Texan I would agree with @Guy Gimenez that it is getting tighter in Austin, but if you like the idea of the Central Texas area Bryan/College Station has a lot of good opportunities.  With A&M and Blinn there, there's always a lot of college students looking for rood rentals.

Personally, I would cut my losses and headaches and serve her notice to vacate.  (Just my opinion.)  This is a business, not a support group where you are required to try and help her.  I understand being nice and I never like the idea of conflict, but enough is enough.

@Nik S. I agree that I would prefer to be able to live stream the footage on my phone, laptop, etc. but, like you said, CC is cheaper and can still catch the A-hole doing it.

I was thinking cameras, also.  And you don't need internet for Closed Circuit cameras.  They're really cheap these day, too.

I agree with @Account Closed  This thread gave additional ideas and ways of thinking.   Thinking "outside the box" is a good thing!

Post: Why do prospective tenants try to negotiate rent price?

Just for the record, I have been the other side of those negotiations before.  A few years back I was looking to rent a small house that I knew had been vacant for about a year.  The owners were asking $650 a month and I offered them $550.  They accepted and I rented that house for 3 years from them.  They told me, they hated to see me leave because I had been one of the best tenants they ever had.  (lol)

To start with, I am not a lawyer, but I see absolutely no reason why you would need an S corp. From all the research I have done, an LLC will provide you the structuring and protection you are looking for. That is actually my game plan, also. I will, probably, form my LLC next year and then shift the properties I already have, at that point, into the entity and all new ones will be purchased through it.
