I agree with Owen Schwaegerle. Maybe a local agent can help you with tenant locating and help determine a rental value. Good luck

Welcome to bigger pockets. Lots of information at your fingertips. What type of properties are you looking for locally?

Terry the agent that helped you can do this for you. You can also look at docusign for electronic signatures. I have not personally explored any particular software.

Hey Sue, welcome.  I was in the same boat many years ago.  I decided to manage my own properties and it worked out well.  I made sure to screen well and I did not have any problems.  If you have any questions or need any help feel free to contact me.

Good luck, I am looking to take the test at the beginning of next year.  Let me know how the real estate trainer course works out.

My name is Joe Sherman, I have been in the real estate business on a personal level since 1998 when I bought my first home.   I have managed my own properties from 1999 until 2013.  During that time, I became a licensed realtor in 2006.  I worked full time and worked as a real estate agent part-time.  No marketing just taking clients by word of mouth.  I averaged about one transaction a year.  I am now looking to get into the real estate business full time, more from an investment standpoint on a buy and hold level; but would like to work with flippers as well.  I look forward to all I can learn as well as all I can contribute to BiggerPockets.
