You can go to that town's building & zoning department and ask.

Thanks Brandon Turner for the advice. An investment club would be a good idea to start.

Sharon Vornholt I'll definitely look into the idea joining the board of Realtors. Thanks for always replying to my questions with answers via email.

Kyle R. and Keenan Fitzpatrick, I'll follow up on your suggestions.

I've recently relocated to Anchorage, AK from CT and I'm finding it very difficult to network with title companies/ attorneys regarding real estate wholesaling or any kind of creative real estate transactions. I've called attorney and title company offices , emailed and posted ads on CL without progress . There isn't an active local REIA in Anchorage or any kind of real estate investing group. It seems as if it's an untapped market considering the absence of bandit signs around the city or any kind of online presence for real estate investing.

I've received quite a lot of responses from absentee and probate homeowners from my direct mail marketing system. I'm just having trouble with the end in mind once I have a deal of how I'm going to close. Any suggestions?
