Wholesaling in Alaska

I've recently relocated to Anchorage, AK from CT and I'm finding it very difficult to network with title companies/ attorneys regarding real estate wholesaling or any kind of creative real estate transactions. I've called attorney and title company offices , emailed and posted ads on CL without progress . There isn't an active local REIA in Anchorage or any kind of real estate investing group. It seems as if it's an untapped market considering the absence of bandit signs around the city or any kind of online presence for real estate investing.

I've received quite a lot of responses from absentee and probate homeowners from my direct mail marketing system. I'm just having trouble with the end in mind once I have a deal of how I'm going to close. Any suggestions?

I agree with Brandon Turner. In my city, you can join to Board of Realtors as an affilite. I did that when I had a home inspection company. It gave me access to Realtors in a whole different setting. If you can make a friend of a Realtor, he can easily search the MLS for cash sales etc. that would help you identify investors. You can also look on the tax assessor's site. Here you can get a subscription for $25 a month.

If you have a property for sale, you can look in the same neighborhood on that site to see who has bought multiple properties. You can get their contact info generally off of google. This defintely going to take some legwork.

I would also set up a buying website and find someone to really optimize it well for you that should bring you some leads.

Here is one big advantage. You can become the go to person in your area pretty quickly I would think.
