yes, I took the cram class. Pretty sure that is the only reason I passed the exam. I highly recommend it!

Welcome to BP!

Sounds like you have already dove in head first with all the information available on BP. It is a great resource and so many people are willing to help.

You may find it interesting that Tampa and Jacksonville are named two of the lowest tax cities. I am a realtor in the Jacksonville area and am happy to help you anyway that I can. Good luck with your new venture!

@Juan Alzate

Welcome to BP! I have found that people here are so helpful and more than willing to answer questions and assist you as you beginning investing in real estate.

The ever rotating military community makes Jacksonville a great place to invest. There is definitely not a shortage of potential renters. Have you started looking at different areas? I know this can vary greatly, but was just curious about how much I can realistically expect to make in RE my first year if I do it full time. Not sure yet if I will join a team? I would love to hear about your experience?

Thank you for the input! I really appreciate it. I will just have to think about what I really want and examine my strengths and weaknesses as well.

I am a new FL licensed real estate agent and am in the process of looking for a brokerage. I know that I need a company that offers excellent training, but what about joining a team? It seems that some brokerages push the team concept more than others. I am new to the area and know that I could use the support, but at the same time I do not really want to give up more commission. I am pretty independent and a self starter so on one hand I would like to go out alone. However, if joining a team gives me a good foundation then I am willing to give it a try. Any thoughts?

@Dawn Brenengen thank you! What has been your experience in PM? I have not been told anything favorable about PM. I really thought that I wanted to do PM, but now am having doubts. Are you still selling or only PM?
