Hello BP members.
First I'd like to thank everyone for all the great help.
I bought a double unit in Buffalo NY and had to evict a tenant, the tenant was not at home during the eviction so i just replaced the locks and texted the tenant that he will need to schedule time with me if he wish to take his belongings - so far no reply from the tenant.
By "belongings" i mean some clothing, pictures, mattress etc. For me it's considered garbage but for my ex tenant (Thank god :) ) it might be valuable. If i remember right the law says that i have to store the tenant's belonging for 30 days.
A storage unit + moving his junk will cost me about 1k and if he doesn't pick it up it will cost about $400 more to get rid of it. Is there any cheaper alternative / other suggestion?
Also, the tenant trashed the place (He clogged the toilet and left a huge mess behind - I'm afraid he was using cement to do it). Is there any good way to recover those loses?
Jo
