My girlfriend and I own a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom home in Appleton, WI. We purchased the house for $90,000 at a fixed rate of 3.75% for 30 years. We pay $590 a month for our mortgage. We owe $74,000 on the home. We're thinking about renting it out and purchasing a duplex to house hack. Would it make sense to hold onto our current home as a rental? Or would we be better off selling the home?

My name is Josh and I am new to the site and real estate in general. I live in the Fox Valley area of Wisconsin. My interests at this point would be single and multi family rentals for monthly income along with house flipping. I like the idea of flipping houses so I can increase my construction knowledge and I could also further utilize my degree in architectural design.
