thanks for the replies, i would like to acquire more properties and also possibly become a real estate agent. Brian as you know in SA properties, good properties, are hard to come by. Are there any jobs in the real estate / investing area that would be available that i might not know of?

Finally took the plunge and quit my job and am ready to put in 100% effort into real estate. While i was working i did see a couple of houses and still have a couple of buy and hold investments. I see the money in real estate and now want this full time.

Question is what now? what do i go to get both feet into the real estate pool?

Looking for like minded people in SA who are looking for buy and holds. Looking to create partnerships to assist in getting more houses. Le me know...

P. martin, welcome i am also in SA. well your problem is a good problem to have, having a property in SA. Agree with that the fix and sell would be easiest, especially if the numbers work.

Veronica, Welcome. I also live in SA, and do flip and buy and holds. There are many pitfalls in this business, but it can be worth it. Try not to make the same mistakes i did in the beginning. If you need any assistance or advice for the SA city let me know.

Ross, the realtor I use is Jerri Myers @ 210-818-0624. She works for Keller Williams Legacy. As a matter of fact she is working on a VA loan right now, she might have some good tips for you, give her a call, and happy hunting.
