Hi there BP Community!!

My name is Veronica Olvera, I'm 32 years old and a complete newbie to real estate investing. I'm currently a Software Engineer for the United States Government that specializes in Cyber Security. At this point in my life, I'm not looking to quit my job because I thoroughly enjoy the field I am in. I have always had great interest in real estate investing since my mother used to be an agent for 10 years or so. As I have gotten older and started my career I've realized how important it is to have multiple streams of income. I feel that real estate investing is great way to achieve that goal.

For the past 4 months or so I have been reading books, attending workshops, listening to podcast's (thanks BP!), and reading everything I could find on the internet about real estate investing. I really want to educate myself before I just jump into this. Lately, I have been learning more about wholesale and I feel this is good starting point since it requires little or no cash. I know there is a ton of work that happens behind the scene and I'm willing and determined to do it.

Ultimately I'm looking to start a small real estate investing business that specializes in rehab and wholesale.  My sister and I have talked about becoming partners so I'm hoping we can take on the San Antonio market and become successful. Some goals that I have set for myself are:

*Become an avid member in local REIA groups

*Start a real estate investing company in the next 3-4 months

*Get my first wholesale deal in the next 4-6 months

*Build long-lasting relationships through real estate investing

I have a deep passion for building relationships and I'm hoping to establish some great ones here wth the BP community!!
