Welcome to the forums! I saw read articles on every field, determine what's good/ bad about each field to determine what works best for you. Being that you have a steady job, I would probably say you might want to start in the buy and hold field before you try the more time consuming endeavor of flipping. Best of luck!

Unfortunately I don't know, but I would try asking one of the BP members who posts in the landlording blogs, they might know.

Well it's a 1% at $120,000, but with all of the issues you mentioned, I wouldn't feel comfortable bidding that place any higher, unless you make an offer with full contingencies and you do a thorough inspection. Being that it's been on the market for 6 months, I think time is on your side.

Hi David!

Have you hit your local RE group to see if you can get a referral? Or I would contact your local mortgage bankers, ask them for the top 3 real estate agents they have worked with, eventually you'll see who are the true experts in the market. Happy hunting sir!

Are you planning to rennovate a building in all of those areas? Or is this just for future reference?

Welcome to the forums. I would suggest you start listening to the podcasts, read the articles, post more often, and eventually you will build your network that will lead to a mentor.
