I would create your own search in zillow looking for recent home sales in the area. If Zillow has records of transactions taking place in the last 90 days or so, it should be in the right area.

Weclome to BP Tay! Thank you for serving.

I would suggest you read the BP beginners guide, listen to podcasts, and read as many blog posts at you can. Finally, try to focus on one niche (Buy and Hold, Flips, etc), master it, then if you want move onto something else.

Yeah, that's interesting. I'm pretty open with my tenants, they love my old man(Probably more than me), so I always bring him over. :)

@Bryan L. Agreed.

Build your properties cash reserves so it's self sustainable. Any additional cash flow can be used towards maintenance, capital expenditure budget (saving for new roof etc), and increasing curb appeal. Having a cash reserve and a mortgage isn't a bad thing. Don't look at the morgage as consumer debt, like credit cards, look at it as productive debt which is allowing you to build wealth.

HI Dan. Yeesh, that doesn't sound like fun. I recently created a contractor plan going over the DOs and Don'ts when interacting with my residents. So far it has minimzed problems for me.

HI Gordon! Wow that's a unique question. I'm bumping this because I want to see if we have any other BP'ers from Dubai.

I would definitely say: Excellent customer service, someone who would advise you against PMI (if there's such a thing in dubai), and someone who is familiar with your local market.

Hi Dusty!

I'm sure someone else from the forum will be able to provide you with more information, but have you tried contacting other property managers to triangulate the norm for your market?

Hi Richard!

It sounds like networking in your local community and building a reputation would be your best advantage being that conventional ways of financing are not conductive to your current financial situation. You probably want to get involved with investors, yes you split the profits, but you don't have to worry about coming up with the cash.
