I have a renter in Prince George County, MD who stopped paying rent (much longer back story). Looking for a good attorney in that area. Any recommendations?

Andrew Gudmunson In my experience most traditional lenders won't lend on a fixer upper. I actually had a lender threaten me when they realized how much work needed to be done on my primary residence. You might be able to get a 203k loan which will actually lend you the money for the rehab, but there is more paperwork, the house must be eligible for FHA financing, I don't remember all the rules, but here is a link with more info. https://portal.hud.gov/hudportal/HUD?src=/program_offices/housing/sfh/203k/203k--df

Deanna McCormick The have limits on how many units can be rented at a time. They were already over the limit, but they gave me an exception for 1 year. My property manager wrote the lease for two years and they wanted me terminate it after the first year. They didn't file they just had their lawyer threaten to file.

So, I went. The judge said she could stay in the condo. Now I have to see what the HOA has to say about it.

I'm just starting out, but I was searching this very topic earlier on BP and came across the guide to wholesaling.  Have you looked at that?  From a quick skim, it looks like it might help avoid a few bumps.

The condo association for my condo sent a notice for me to terminate my lease.  I obliged, but my tenant chose not to leave.  My property management company has handled everything for me so far.  They have lawyers going to the court appearance.  They said I am welcome if I want to go.  My question is, should I go?  What are possible pros or cons either way?

Thanks!

My tenant has a court date on Friday based on the holdover filing.  Should I attend or should I leave it to the attorneys?
