Foreigners can own property anywhere in Mexico. Recent changes to Mexican laws now permit foreign ownership of Mexican Real Estate. The way the title of the property will be held will depend on its location.

If the property is in the “Restricted Zone” it will have to be held with a Fideicomiso (Bank Trust). The Restricted Zone is defined as any property that lies within 100 KM of an international border or 50 KM from the coast. The international borders are the United States, Guatemala, and Belize. A Fideicomiso is a bank trust that holds title to a property in the Restricted Zone with the foreigner as the beneficiary.

How do I find reputable property managers in Mexico region specifically in the Baja California ? Who is big out there ?

Hey Anthony, I currently live in Rosarito and run a electrical/handyman business out here. Feel free to send me a message or give me a call at my number if you'd like (661)239-1818

I have been seeing a lot of ads on Fund And Grow and it has finally piqued my interest. I have looked at a lot of videos and forums but I have yet to see if anybody has used this type of funding outside the US. Any info regarding this topic would be greatly appreciated!

@Kelly Worley but yes you are right it is always good to do your own due diligence especially since Mexico is a whole different country!

@Brett Holmes @Kelly Worley I live out here in Rosarito, Baja California and everybody that has a decent place is doing AirBNB. From what I seen Mexican law isn't strict with AirBNB. As long as the people pay their "property tax" (predial is what its called out here) then the government is happy and you can do as you please with your property. I've seen commercial properties in the middle of residential areas.. as long as you have money then the sky is the limit out here. Obviously there's more to it but you see my point...

Yeah definitely we can talk and see what we can get going for you. I'm going to send you a message if that is possible on this... I'm not too familiar with this site lol

@Mike Lambert I will be looking into your profile to look at the information you have on buying property in Mexico. I wish I could take a trip down to Tulum because I hear a lot of good things are going on down there with real estate

@Zarina Ablyazizova @Dave Meyers @Brandon Goldsmith I currently live out here in Rosarito, Mexico and from what I've been seeing in the market since I've posted this, Americans are always buying property out here. And yes you have to do your due diligence before buying anything but it is possible to safely invest in Mexican property.

Hey @Mike Jones I am a local electrician in the Rosarito area I also do other types of construction if you are still looking for somebody to give you a hand. I'm also looking to network with new people as I'm fairly new to the Rosarito area. My facebook business page is Morbes Electric if you would like to look at some of my work I've done out here.
