Post: Renting the house I live in

Hello,

I'm going to be renting the extra bedroom in my house and have been getting a lot of questions about who my girlfriend and I are? I would like to change my rental ad to include information about myself and my girlfriend but I don't want to violate any rules about exclusive advertisement. Anyone know if the landlord can make an ad including information about himself and girlfriend?

Hey Brandon,

I have a rental in Minneapolis.

@Issac P.

@Issac P.Hey Issac, I also think your insurance is a bit high, I'm in NE Minneapolis and mine is about 1200 a year... I do homestead though. Are you planning on paying for the water, sewer, trash expenses for your tenants? I think you have $400 being way too low, for my duplex I'm close to $1300 for everything. To say if this is a good deal or not would really depend on where this property is at. Feel free to reach out to me if you have questions.

The quote was for labor and plumbing material, not including the sink. It is a pot washing sink

Hello Minneapolis,

I have a friend that was quoted for $1200 for labor and plumbing material (not the sink) to replace a sink in a commercial property. The company quoted 5 hours worth of work. To me this quote seems exaggerated. Could anyone tell me if this is too much and if so how much one should pay? I feel like this job should be very simple seeing that their is an existing working sink. Any recommend plumbers would be great...... Thank you

Hey Tom, where in Minneapolis is your property? I do agree with your take on the dishwasher, place to grow plants, and fire pit. I think another thing that millennial like is a cool approachable landlord.

@Shane Setzer @Chris Christianson

I think the same way about NE as you two do. My theory is follow the hipsters . They will make an area fun and cool, then yuppies will want to move in, then rich people. I hope this is what will happen in NE.... only time will tell.
