Hi BP, Looking to hear from some seasoned vets out there about a question I had. Ive been reading the book "flipping houses for Dummies" and I think I have an idea now how I want to start in REI.. but I dont know if what I have is even possible to do.. what I wanted to do is the following :

I currently own my home and have around 50-70k built up in equity.  Is it possible for me to do a cash out refi of my home then rent out my house for a lil more than what my new mortgage would be.  Then taking the money from my refi to purchase a foreclosure for a good price then renovating it and then doing the same process all over again.  So then I would cash out refi on the new house then rent that house out and then take the money from that refi to once again purchase another foreclosed property and so on and so on....  I dont know if this is even possible or not but I think it would be.a great way for me to get into rei.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks BP and have I great day!!

Hi BP,

My name is Jon and im from the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago.  Brand new into real estate but very eager to learn as much as I can.  Im 27 and I currently own my own hvac business.  I love working on homes and its a real passion of mine.   I really want to begin flipping houses and then do some buy and holds later on in life.  I have a lot of good contractor freinds and contacts from over the years but dont know much as far as real estate goes.  Recently ive been looking at distressed properties and auction homes.  Trying to learn as much as possible here on BP so hopefully I an start my dream career

Hi everyone.  Brand new member here, first post actually.  I was coming on today to get some advice from some seasoned vets who have flipped in the south side of chicago.  I was looking to get in near the calumet city, riverdale area.

A little bit about me.. I own my own hvac/handyman business and was very interested in getting into flipping houses..  I have some good contacts as far as contractors goes, but thats about as far as it goes.  I really dont know any agents or brokers in that area.

Im really just looking to get some advice of some good areas to invest in.. I have about 70k in liquid assests to invest in my first property. Also what to expect from these houses.. average sell time and average ARV in that area..

Thanks for your time hope to hear from some of you pros soon..
