@Brie Schmidt Jamaica Plain is insane. I helped a client sell an attached three-family property with no parking on Mozart Street a couple of years ago for a price which, at the time, I thought was crazy but the prices have continued to escalate since then. Mozart Street, by the way, is the home of the Mozart Street gang. I also helped another client sell an eight unit mixed use building on Heath Street, at the corner of Bromley Street, to a cash buyer from China for $2.3M. That property, by the way, is across the street from the Bromley-Heath projects. The appetite for real estate has been insatiable in Boston lately but I also sold a three-family property to another client on Nightingale Street, Dorchester for only $112,500 during the bottom of the Great Recession so it's important to keep perspective which this market, in my opinion, seems to have lost.

I like New England Homes. I visited its showroom in Salem, NH and its plant in Clermont, NH. We almost used them when we were thinking about tearing down an existing home we bought.

There has been lots of disconcerting rental data coming out of Los Angeles and New York City. I've been collecting Tweets into a Twitter Moment called "Boston Real Estate Market Warnings... #HubEdge #BostonMA #WorcesterMA" which uses stories from Los Angeles, New York City and Toronto to make a case, in many respects, that there is a luxury rental crisis on the horizon. It's going to hit...

I can't believe I'm going to defend Zillow here... Holy ****! Zillow is valuing the 7.6 acre lot at $1,808,735. The mobile homes located at 2900-R Cranberry Highway may not be considered real property so Zillow may not value them separately or, most likely, at all. The assessed value of 2900-R Cranberry Highway is $1,800,000 so Zillow, most likely, is simply adding random numbers to the assessed value.

Jimmy Shiels of Shiels General Contracting is fantastic. I don't know if he's built in Mansfield or not but he's built some absolute monsters in Dover and Newton. Full Disclosure: He thinks he's dating my sister.
