@Shane C. Downs I’ve been in hospitality all my life

I come from parents in the financial industry

I’m naturally empathetic but understand what it means to be firm but fair

I’m in it for the passsssive income as I enjoy a work life balance(I quit a high paying job because some things aren’t worth it)

So I do it yes for extra money but I love providing good service

A few days ago one of my manger was talking bad about customers and that’s the kind of **** I hate. People only understand things from their point of view but I’ve spend a lot of my life naturally seeing it from the other persons point of view so I’m the kind of guy that doesn’t believe there is such things as a stupid question(I mean mostly lol)

So Property management and investing allows me to make more money while using my skills and taking care of people

Also I love learning how To manage people and places

But even those on here that are here just for money I am sure know how to provide either good service or aren’t cheap about providing things for people who require it. That’s what’s awesome about capitalism my friend

@Benjamin Williams

Your young and you think you’ve found your passion

If you ever decide you don’t like RE later down the road then your cornering yourself

A degree helps with any job in the future even if it’s not so relevant to your degree.

Im not a fan of compulsory education

You can always go back though

If you truly believe in yourself and have the right attitude then do RE for a while, get comfortable then maybe you’ll know more about what you want in life and can go back to college

Imo get your AA degree at least but

Other hen that man, yeah your struggling

But as long as your moving forward hen keep moving forward, don’t try to get rich quick or find the easy way out

Good luck

@Sean Wilt I saw a friend filling out a survey and although he loved his job he filled out everything in the middle. His explanation “gotta keep em on their toes”

But all kidding aside sometimes that just how people are. It’s all relative

Remember keep doing what your and if your doing a good job the law of averages will be in your favor and show that you are on top.

Let it go for sure

Don’t sweat it

I highly doubt you’ll lose any potential booking and if you do they are clearly idiots. Yes reviews can be annoying in any industry but people on the other side also understand

@Jonathan Watt blah sorry she got evicted so I’m silly but anyways

If you have your documents in order it should take long for small claims court to rule in your favor

Why Part of being a good pm is about keeping good documentation !!!

@Dan Crenshaw do exactly what Patricia said.

Your tenant sucked. Hope you documented everything.

If you collected a deposit worth of one month rent and had like a 30-45 days or even two week period before giving that deposit back, then I don’t think this would have happened. I could be wrong.

But if you did, take that deposit sir!

@Shiloh Lundahl I know people with a lot LOT more that don’t consider any of what you were talking about.

Lifestyle will increase or decrease your $$$

If you keep increasing then no worries right?

The top one percent makes about 250k or over so I guess you’d be upper class(cause that’s what’s important to you{shakes head})

Attitude and value you bring are everything

Any shmuck can have a good year, get luck or win the lotto, I promise you anyone who has had money for a long enough time could careless about those kinds of people.

Anyways congrats on your hard work, keep it up and don’t worry about status, you’ll be a lot happier, trust me

Fyi I grew up in Beverly Hills, I know what I’m talking about

@Heidi Kenefick @Heidi Kenefick we recently walks away from a great beautiful house. Some of the work was questionable but wasn’t a deal breaker but it did have us scratching our head a little as to who the heck worked on this house. But then the inspection report

It was a big no thanks to a house that had just been renovated. It was a shame really

You could make an offer for just the land value if the owner still makes out on it. If let’s say your in VEGAS, I highly doubt it, the land ain’t worth more then the house. But in Beverly Hills or Near the beach in California where the land is probably 90 percent of the value then yes that is a decent way to go about it and you might get your offer accepted.

I don’t know your skill level or knowledge level to say should you do it or not, only you can figure that out but imo walk away and find another house.

Yes inspection reports are the best! We have a great inspector and I wouldn’t change inspection companies for the world!!!
