Post: Baltimore vs Philadelphia

Which area is better for fix/flip deals? It seems to me Philadelphia has become saturated in recent years and good deals are getting harder and harder to come by.  Baltimore seems to be more ripe with potential at this time.  Am I right or am I missing something? Thanks

Hey,

What in everybody's opinion is the best way to forge real estate relationships by bringing value as a new investor? I know I could provide value for investors outside of the Philadelphia area that want to invest because of my close proximity to the area.  What are some things a beginning investor can offer to a more experienced investor in a fix/flip partnership?

Hey,

What are the some areas in the Philadelphia and surrounding areas that are better for fix/flip currently? Or should I look elsewhere.   I know areas like Point Breeze and Brewerytown are super saturated these days. Thanks

Hi I just wanted to know what the best way to network with other investors on BP? I am hoping to form business partnerships and get a deal done with other like minded investors in the Philadelphia area before the end of the year.  Any suggestions?

Hey Kristin.  I am a new investor in the Philadelphia area.  I am interested in branching out to South NJ and seeing what potential opportunities are out there.  I have a potential funding source using lines of credit. Perhaps maybe we can partner on a project some time.  Feel free to reach out if interested. Thanks

I am interested in partnering with 1 or 2 other investors interested in investing in the West Philadelphia region.  As Penn and Drexel are expanding further North and West I see great opportunity in areas that were more risky in the past ie. Mantua, Parkside avenue area.  There are few properties on Parkside ave from the zoo all the way to the shopping center that can be a good opportunity.  I also found an effective no money down credit based funding for the project.  I enjoy team work and would prefer to work with a partner for the first few flips.  If interested send me a member request to talk in greater detail.

Good afternoon @James Brand, Thank you for the advice.

Unfortunately I have no experience with plumbing, electricity, or fixing up houses and I will look into those resources ASAP.  I live in the UC area few blocks off of Penn's campus.  Do you think that's a good place to start investing?

Hey guys I don't know if my initial introduction posted or not so I'll try it again lol. My name is Jonathan and I currently reside in West Philadelphia. I am interested investing in the greater Philadelphia as I see great potential in many areas in the city and the outskirts. I am new to real estate investing, therefore I am thankful for any information or advice anyone may have for somebody just starting out. I am a recent UPenn graduate (class of 2015) and currently working as a psychotherapist. My goal is to transition into psychotherapy part time with real estate becoming my full time gig. I am mostly interested in flipping but rental properties sound interesting too. I look forward to gaining great insight from you veterans :). Thank you
