Hey Zack,

I would call as many independent agencies as I had time for to find someone that can place your business.

Finding a good agent that understands what you do and is able to place coverage for you and protecting your investment is crucial.

Something like this I wouldn't do on my own without the expertise of an agent.

Your umbrella policy should encompass all 3 properties. The underwriting for the umbrella will ask if you have any residences rented to others.

Welcome to NJ!

When your real estate plans start to take shape you're going to need an insurance broker who can help properly insure and protect your deals.

Give me a call or a dm to speak further!

Quote from @Amber Forkey:

Looking for recommendations on insurance carriers for both the property management side and the real estate sales side as well. It is my understanding that there's different insurance a brokerage needs whether it's conducting property management activities or brokering the sale of a home.

This is completely new to me so I'm hoping someone can steer me in the direction of a company that can provide the right coverage.

You'll want to find a local full service broker that can handle the commercial aspect of the property management and the personal lines that can do the real estate side. Most should be able to handle your needs.

New to this group but my suggestion is to look for a local full service insurance broker. They can shop and compare rates for different carriers.

Networking events typically have a couple of them as well as we're constantly looking for developers, agents, & lenders as referral sources.
