@Adam Craig paint everything that is white with a slight lighter that charcoal grey. Don’t paint brick. 😎

@Cameron Dye

Had I had my head on straight and thought about getting into the REI world when I was finishing high school, I would've passed on college. The amount of money you will depend of 4 +\- Years will be significant and could in turn be used to market yourself as a real estate agent or other area of REI.

If in fact you really do love this industry and you are already goal setting, go get your license when you turn 18 and GRIND GRIND GRIND.

I can’t speak enough on how important it is to live below your means. I was dumb when I graduated. Just about every dollar that I earned went towards shopping at the mall and going out to parties. None, and I mean NONE of that means a damn thing later in life. Earn money and STACK it for future investments. Screw the latest shoes and clothing. If ya want to go out and party with friends, by all means do it, but keep it to a bare minimum. Focus on your goals and watch your crew be left behind because they are too worried about boozing and getting girls.

Good luck young sir.

@Frank Patalano hi Frank! Thanks for the feedback. I LOVE the idea of house hacking, but it would be tough to do so considering I am married with 4 young children. Even looking at a multi family would be tough because the large majority of them are too small to accommodate my needs. I will continue to look into wholesaling and see where it takes me. Take care.

@Jose Flores thank you for the awesome breakdown! I, too, have heard that it involves a lot of work which actually motivates me! Of course, I wouldn’t mind skipping it and just buying from wholesalers, I need to get my foot in the door somehow, and it seems like this might be the best way especially considering my available funds.

Hi All, I’m a newb who is in the info/knowledge gathering phase of my REI career. So newb that I have 0 deals under my belt. I’m pumped to have come across BP, and I can’t wait to learn more and eventually contribute to this platform. Wholesaling, wholesaling, wholesaling is the most popular answer I’ve heard/seen as the best way to get rolling in this industry, especially for those with low funds. How many of you started your journey by wholesaling? Did it allow you to progress? Did it slow you down? P.s. Thanks a ton to the creators of and contributors to BP. You are the real MVPs.

Post: A great big hello and thanks to the BP community.

I am very greatful to have come across this amazing platform. I am BRAND NEW to the industry, if you could call it that. I have zero deals under my belt. One of the most common pieces of advice for newbs that I’ve seen on BP is that the best way to start is to gather info/knowledge from others in the industry, and that is EXACTLY what I plan on doing. I have 10 years of entreprenurial experience, and I’m stoked to utilize and apply my skills to the REI world. Believe it or not, the reason I came across BP was because of a Google search on a recent REI seminar I attended which was Fortune Builders. I can honestly say that I learned a lot over the 3 day seminar but was BLOWN away by the $35k/40k/50k asking price for the systems they set in place. After my Google search, I learned that I learn every bit and more right here on BP and other books/websites. With that being said, I’m very grateful to have come acrossed the BP world, and I’m looking forward to learning from and eventually contributing to this AWESOME community. Thanks in advance to all you awesome RE people who selflessly contribute. Have a great day!
