Hi Rob, I'm a retired landlord living in Sarasota I'm looking to start a property management business.  I have owned 20 apartments in the past few years and now  I'm to down to 4. I have experience in the rental market here and I know many tradesmen. How many units do you need managed? If its just a few I can be some help.. I hope I can be your eyes and ears in Sarasota. HI Gil,  I'm own rental properties in the Sarasota area and I might be able to help you managing your property. 

Sarasota is a tough market to start in. Home prices are through the roof and if you do find a deal there are 50 investors bidding on it. If you do come across a property that you are interested in use the bigger pocket tools and make sure the numbers work for you. Also always have some reserve cash on had for repairs and emergencies. Bigger pockets is all the education you need to start to invest in real estate.

Good luck.   Any property that cash flows is bought up in minutes .

I'm looking for a property manager for 8 units in the Rockford IL. area.  One that offers basic features and is not to expensive. The buildings are in a nice area and all are rented on yearly leases. Thanks Joe R

  Rockford has a lot of great deals that cash flow great but no appreciation at all. Rockford has high taxes and poor schools,a lot of C and D areas, especially west of the river. Tenants there can be hard to deal with and are tough on apartments. You would need to find a great property management team to make it work. I invest in NE Rockford, the Loves Pk. and the Machesney park area. Higher rents and better tenants but its hard to find good deals there, Hope this helps and Good luck.
