Quote from @Paul Moore:

Hi @Joe Rios. Great idea. I did a series of BP videos on 7 paths to succeed in commercial real estate (and focused some videos on self-storage).  I also dedicated the last 1/3rd of my new BP book on self-storage to this question of paths to succeed.  A few of these paths could help answer your question.

Perhaps the best way to start - for many including me (in the past) - is to join a coaching program.  You will often meet other syndicators and have opportunities to partner with your coach or others.  I hope that helps.

Paul, thank you for the reply. I have been seeing more of this type of response and I think helps me make the best decision. Appreciate the support. I will go watch your videos.

Quote from @Brock Mogensen:

Definitely read the book Best Ever Apartment Syndication by Joe Fairless.  It is a step-by-step guide on what to do.  Syndication is a great way to scale but you want to make sure you have a good understanding (or partner with people that do) before you dive into your first syndication deal.

Appreciate the support. I will pick up this book for the fundamentals but another thing I am looking for is a partner that I can provide support and learn from.

Looking for someone who has started a syndication before and can provide guidance and general first steps. I am working through literature now but just looking for the experienced person on here who might have done it before.

I am out of Central CT.

I had a rental property for 12 year before I recently sold for some profit, unfortunately for me I was not as educated then as I am now (and continuing to learn) with BiggerPockets and other investment educational opportunities.

I now am trying to get back into the investment world and gain that financial freedom. I am focusing in on cash flowing real estate around me in CT to start up. I don't have a great deal of money to put down so I am also looking at creative ways for financing such as owner financing or partnerships.

Looking for folks feedback on the strategy: Cash Flow focused while looking for Owner Financing/Partnership. Thanks!

I now am trying to get back into the investment world and gain that financial freedom. I have been trying to strategize the best way to get back into the market focusing on Owner Financing or Partnership for the first deal as I do not have the funds to put a down payment on a larger investment property. I am cash flow focused, while secondarily focusing on appreciation.
