@Thomas Costa

Welcome to BP.  I'm fairly new as well....I have been reading books, listening to podcasts, and networking for the past 3 months and am getting ready to jump into my first deal.  I also currently work in healthcare and live in Ellicott City. Let me know if I can help you out in anyway.

Hi all,

I wanted to just throw this out there.  I am currently looking for properties to fix and flip in Howard County, southern Baltimore County (Catonsville / Arbutus/ Halethorpe vincity), and northern Anne Arrundel County.  I am somewhat flexible and am open to areas close to the above areas.  At this point, I am not interested in Baltimore....but once I have a few deals under my belt, this will likely change.

So if there are any wholesalers out there please contact me to add me to your buyer's list.

@Janet Drnach

Janet, I sent you an email via bigger pockets last week but I am definitely interested in meeting with you to talk REI. Let me know what works for you.

@Christina R. Thank you for the recommendation.  I appreciate it.

@Matthew Paul Good is definitely more important than cheap but there needs to be a degree of balance obviously. I'm not currently in a hurry (as I don't have a property under contract yet) but once I do I need someone who can work at a reasonable pace.  So if you know any who might fit that criteria (good work, fair price, and reasonable work pace....am I being too optimistic with the criteria?)  Anyway, if you know someone who somewhat meets this, could you pass along their contact info or company name?

please share them....I do realize the criteria

Can anyone recommend a reliable GC who works in/around the Southern Baltimore metro area (Baltimore, Howard, Anne Arrundel Counties)?

Thanks @Christina R. Thanks for the advice. I will be attending 2 more local REI meet ups this week. In terms of areas I am looking to flip homes in Howard, Anne Arundel, and southern Baltimore county but that is not set in stone. I realize I am unknown quantity at this point and I am not looking for short cuts, I will be putting in the work. I just thought I might offer up some of my resources, time and money which could be beneficial to a seasoned investor in exchange for being a part of the process and getting some real life experience. I look forward to meeting you in person at one of the local meet ups.

Hi all,

I'm a newbie and I am on my way to becoming a full time investor (starting out with flipping and eventually moving into buy and hold). I have read multiple books, listened to many podcasts (thanks BP!). I have attended a REIA meeting and plan to attend many more.

I have a great paying job, great credit, and about $60K in cash. Ideally, I would love to find an experienced flipper to learn the business from and I would be willing to help them out anyway that I could...be that with my time or money.

Is there any one interested in mentoring or partnering with me?  I currently haven't begun seriously  searching for deals yet (so I currently can contribute bin that area) but I have time and cash I would be willing to contribute in any way other that I could..

@Matthew Rassa welcome.  I am in a similar position and have heard good things about investing in Howard county.  The one down side is the high price point compared with some surrounding counties.  Good luck!

Hi @Janet Drnach.  I also recommend the BWI Meetup.  I've had several people recommend it to me and I went for the first time last Wednesday and found it very informative both from a content stand point and a networking one.  I have also heard good things about the Anne Arrundel Real Estate Investors Meetup group but I have yet to attend.  Good luck.
