@Garry C. we were looking for a buyers agent, but we finally got with someone who wanted some business.

@John Carr thanks for the reply.   But we got set up with someone already.

Just to finish this story we drove up there for a couple days and actually found a place and got an offer accepted already!

Looking to buy a Vacation rental in the South Fork, CO area.  I'm not getting anywhere with any of the agents I've talked to over the phone they seem like they don't have a clue or don't care.  Any recommendations?

C.  I live in a city where everyone knows that we have hard water.  If a tenant doesn't want hard water, they should but it themselves.

Great idea @Account Closed.  I'm not sure when a person (Legally) goes from independent contractor to employee.  I believe it has something to do with specific hours, set schedule, etc.

Another idea may be to contact some people that are already driving in Neighborhoods and pay them a finders fee.  I'd contact Uber Drivers, FedEx drivers, UPS drivers, pizza delivery guys, etc.  These guys are already patrolling the streets and would love to make some side cash.

Just an Idea.  Good luck!

It should be fine.  "The intent" is what matters.  As long as your living at one of the units you should be fine.  At closing you'll sign a  "Occupancy Declaration," which will state that the property (Not the unit) your buying will be your principal residence for the majority of the year.

@CP Chou Probably a little late but...  Hate to tell you the time to buy in Port A was 5 years ago.  The town now has a ton of new development.  I agree with @Lisa Edwards as well.  Maybe watch the trends and pick up a deal on the down side of the cycle.

@Nicholas Miller I haven't used them for Retail Sales, but I know Luce Properties has a huge presence in the Rockport Area (I've dealt with them on the property management side).  Good luck!

Hello Community,

I've been lurking for a about a month now and I figured it was time to come out of the shadows.  For starters I live in Corpus Christi, TX (home of High insurance and Higher Property Taxes) and I would like to slowly invest in rentals in this area.

So for the quick and dirty, I currently work two jobs (around 60-70 hours a week) and I'm tired of it.  (My nugget from "Rich dad Poor Dad" is the piece where he speaks about how working hard does not = More Wealth)

My Wife and I are currently rehabbing a a home we plan on selling within the next couple of months, so that we can buy a multiplex to house hack ( I know Ground Breaking) but I believe this is the fastest way for me to quit one of my jobs.

I love the Forum, I love the Podcast, I've got a million questions I need to post, so thanks in advance for all of the awesome FREE advise!!
