@Chance B. I was apart of this meeting and was the person that asked about in person meeting haha. Yeah I really want to get some face time with some other members and start networking with people. I'm pretty introverted but I think talking to other like minded investors would pull me out of my shell so I am very much looking forward to this. I am definitely down if something gets planned in DFW. So count me in! I am really looking forward to meeting others and offer anything I can while I am still in my learning phase.

@Anthoney Hanks I am just starting my journey into DFW rental investing but have some BRRR questions about the area. Would it be cool if I reached out to you for some questions sometime.

I am mainly doing evaluations on pretty much turn key properties in the 160-185k range but would like to learn about other possibilities in the area so anyone I can bounce an idea off would be a ton of help!

@Jessica Harrison I have been actively analyzing this section of the metro and it seems pretty good. 160-185k range is what I have been looking at. I don't have the capital to buy in the near future but I keeping looking for the practice. For someone as new as me makes me feel like I'm in the right track haha

Would it be possible to throw your some of my evaluations and you poke some holes in them so I could sharpen up?

@Kyle Mccaw are you still looking to get this started or has anything happened?

I am looking to get started in the next 12 months but til that time I have been actively analyzing and working with an agent to kind of learn the market for rentals. Also looking to drive some neighborhoods to see if I can find some distressed properties just to get an eye on things. Would love the idea to bounce ideas off other locals or if I could provide some value with my skill set.

Hello all. I have been browsing around looking at Property Management Software to see what is available and what might not be available. While I do not have my first property, I am looking and want to start building my business processes so it can be a little more smooth. [Just got down listening to The Book on Managing Rental Properties by Brandon and Heather]

What software do you use?
How do you like it?
Favorite feature? Worst?
Price?
Limitations?
Features wish list?
Does it do payment processing? Basic accounting?
Other Feedback?

Or is it that some of you manage anything manually? What is keeping you away from using software?

I am a software engineer and was wondering if there are any pitfalls in these processes I could cover. Even something as small as a landing page to report issues with properties that then routes an email and/or text directly to the person who needs to take action. Through some googling and searching through the forum I didnt find anything of much value so I wanted to reach out to others to see where they are on this.

I am a GP resident looking to make my first step in single or multi family rentals in the area and am very early in getting to my first rental property. Looking forward to seeing you around and welcome!
