Post: Setting up a SDIRA - Need help

I currently have some money in an old 401K and a traditional IRA that I would like to roll over into a SDIRA. I am doing a lot of reading on how to use these funds but I really need to find someone to work with that will make sure I do everything right and not get myself into trouble.

Does anyone have any recommendations of people and companies they have worked with in the past that has helped them.

Thanks

@Ben Rutkevitz out of curiosity, how do you have your business set up? Do you have an LLC or Land Trusts etc?

I own a house in PA that I bought about 10 years ago, unfortunately I was not on bigger pockets back then and didn't buy in the best rental location so we are having a hard time renting it out. I don't want to make that mistake again.

@Ben Rutkevitz thanks for the info. I will definitely be sending Moussa an e-mail.

Where are you looking in NJ? I have been thinking about Woodbridge but I have to do more research on the rental situation there.

I don't get any replies to my posts.

Am I doing something wrong?

Hi all,

I am a new investor and have been doing a lot of research over the last few months. I currently live in NY but I am looking to invest in NJ. I would like to get a bunch of buy and hold properties and eventually live off the cash flow.

I am realizing lately that I am stalling and getting in my own way. I need to start taking the first steps in this and not let fear paralyze me.
I think the first step would be to get my business legally set up the right way.

From the research I have done it looks like setting up an LLC would be the best way to go and have all of the homes I purchase put into a land trust with the LLC being the beneficiary. If anyone has any other thoughts on that I would great appreciate it.

Does anyone have a corporate attorney that they would recommend to help me get all of this set up?

Thank you

Jillian Johnson

I about to start setting up my business to protect myself and my family.

I am wondering what you all think is the best route to take, LLC or land trust?

Just wondering if anyone has used auction.com to purchase a home and what your experience has been?

Just curious as to what software and systems people are using to

1) find information

2) keep track of everything we need to keep track of

3) stay organized

etc etc
