Went to my loan officer yesterday, to see about my first REI loan. I was in shock when she said their new policy was 30% down. I finally talked her down to 25%, but she was sincere about this 30 percent and I thought to myself, that really changes the COC returns. Anyone else running in to this?

spray it with bleach, then see if that kills it. no use spending more money that necessary.

I did it for a slum lord once. Used epoxy floor paint. looked alright and last about 4 years. Definitely would not use it on a Quality property. The three I did were inner city Indianapolis. I highly recommend renting the sander, and doing the finishing job right.

A quality Voltage meter is an absolute life saver, I have a craftsmen Volt meter I bought 10 years ago for 75 dollars. One of my best investments ever. Make sure it has continuity test also and you can diagnose tons of electrical problems and save your life and money at the same time.

Goof off is an amazing product. Its been awhile but I think you can buy a epoxy based garage floor paint at home depot for about 90 bucks last time I looked. Great stuff and makes, future clean ups much more manageable.

I definitely would have been happier packing some heat, just in case. Great story though. kudos to you.

Sounds somewhat reasonable. You might try Angie's List to find a good handyman that could come in cheaper. I use to charge $40.00 an hour for that type of work. depending on coming back to apply additional coats of mud and sanding, just doesn't sound that far off.

after removing the comb and honey, i've sprayed a 50/50 mixture of lemon joy dishwashing detergent and amonia on the inside of the walls. It eliminates the scent left behind of the bees and reduces the chance of new arrivals in the future.
