Post: Electric vehicle charging?

Any smaller apartment building owners offer this amenity?  Is there even demand for this for apartments in Chicago in non-high or mid rise buildings?

I would think when renting a SFH in the suburbs or even the city, there would be a demand.  However, we are trying to gauge the perceived benefit of 'having the electrical capacity' to offer charging with a garage spot in Chicago.

Electrical vehicles are going to be the trend, maybe not in the immediate future, but if someone has a car in the city, chances are someone will have an EV.

Looking for any insights any one has on the trend or costs of conversion or adding - building owners, rental agents, EV owners, electricians, garage spot renters, anyone with an opinion.

Thanks for reading.

There is plenty about the ordinance itself, no lease document that I've found.  Cook County as an entity hasn't had too many unusual provision until recently, unlike Chicago which has had the special lease for quite a few years.

@Felita Carter scroll to the bottom of the webpage, and under 'Explore' select 'FilePlace.'  The navigation is different than it used to be.  You'll have to look around for different info.  There isn't anything for Cook County though yet that I found.

Found the files location.  Anyone have a new lease for Cook County properties with the new CCRLTO info incorporated?

Trying to find the old 'resources' listings, where members posted files for other's use.  Can anyone please navigate me to this?  I think with the new layout, this has changed.

FYI more specifically, if anyone has anything posted for the new Cook County IL changes, that is some of what I am looking to see.

Thanks in advance.

Old post, @Mickey Brown, did you try the rubber underlayment and do you think it was worth the cost?

Hey @Brandon Seyferth, thank you.  MIssed this response and will definitely check out the company.  We've been reading about other mechanisms for noise reduction.  The biggest noise is the foot traffic from above which is very hard to deal with after the flooring is in place.

We are doing a project in an old (typical Chicago) 1890s MF building.  Upper apartments will have finished hardwood floors.  Pre-reno sound transmission through the floors was really bad and we are looking to improve soundproofing, keeping the wood floors.

Does resilient channel really work? Enough to justify the cost - $1-2/sq ft?

Who installs it typically, the drywaller or carpenter?

Has anyone used it or just insulated enough where you thought it made a difference?

Any recommendations or insights appreciated.

When you say 'Zoning doc' are you referring to the city form Certificate of Occupancy?  This form is standard in Chicago at sale, at least that is what one lawyer told us.  I don't know how long they have been used, but if the seller got one 12 years ago showing a legal four unit, I would present that document as historic proof.  If by zoning doc, you mean something else, please clarify.
