Looking for a Texas lender that can answer some questions or give opinions on doing a cash out refi on a rental property to help pay off personal debts.

@Brittany Minocchi   I want to refinance a rental.

Hey Jeremy!

I'm not physically in Texas, but I'm happy to answer any questions you have. The first steps would be to try and estimate the property's current value vs. what your payoff, determine what LTV you qualify for and see how much equity you have to work with. As for closing costs, you shouldn't have to pay anything out of pocket, the costs would be deducted from the cash you pull from the property. Feel free to connect.

 thanks so much I’ll inbox

I’m just trying to I guess get an appraisal on my rental and see if I can cash out refi my house to pay off some personal debts. And how much in closing costs would I have to pay out of pocket.

Hey jeremy, sometimes the best options may not be local I recommend asking some qualified investment focused brokers

Right now I use apartments. Com for background screening ($25 tenant handles the fee) and rent collection.   It’s free.   No monthly fees for tenants or me.

Yes, it’s very detailed report.   The tenant pays the fee and it goes to apartments. Com.   They can also use it up to 3 others if you deny them.   I get credit score, late payments, delinquency, Criminal history, eviction reports.   It’s like credit karma it shows everything.   Apartments is also good for rent collection and listings.  Best of all it’s - free !!

Just curious what kind of screening apartments.com offers. Do you get credit score, eviction and criminal background checks for that $25 fee the tenant pays?

@Jeremy Torres I was using apartments.com since it was called Cozy. That's not enough to do the bookkeeping.

QuickBooks is not intuitive, and it'll take some time to set it up. If you have a mortgage, it'll get a bit tricky to enter the data (principal, interest, and escrow.) It is something that most of the CPAs/accountants use, so that's what I use.

How much is it a month
