Kevin Hunter Awesome advice! Thanks!
Hello everyone. I am JD Thomas and I'm relatively new to the Bigger Pockets community. I am in need of some advice. I recently purchased a 4 bdrm/3bath home in the Mandarin/Jacksonville area in hopes of ultimately renting it out to pay the mortgage and also as a secondary source of income. I've done a ton of research in hopes of targeting a military serviceman/professional married with 2.5 kids, and I feel as if I covered everything. Until I leave (2019) I am exploring the possibility of renting one or two of the rooms to provide a surplus towards paying the mortgage. Can anyone provide guidance on how to select tenants and managing in-home tenants. Is this a good idea? Anything helps! Thank you!
Bryant Schur Good morning sir, and thanks for taking the time to offer your advice and encouragement. I recently made my first investment into a home and I have the intention to live in as well as offer up 2 of the rooms for rent. I also intend to do several home improvement projects to improve the rentability of the home (privacy fence, fire pit, screened lanai, etc). So, knowing that, what advice would you offer a young Bryant Schur(me) from an older, more experienced Bryant Schur?

Good Morning! I am J.D. and I do a ton of travelling around the country and have recently become interested in real estate. My knowledge is very novice at best. Any information would help. Thanks.
