Please help - In-home Renting option for professional renters

Hello everyone. I am JD Thomas and I'm relatively new to the Bigger Pockets community. I am in need of some advice. I recently purchased a 4 bdrm/3bath home in the Mandarin/Jacksonville area in hopes of ultimately renting it out to pay the mortgage and also as a secondary source of income. I've done a ton of research in hopes of targeting a military serviceman/professional married with 2.5 kids, and I feel as if I covered everything. Until I leave (2019) I am exploring the possibility of renting one or two of the rooms to provide a surplus towards paying the mortgage. Can anyone provide guidance on how to select tenants and managing in-home tenants. Is this a good idea? Anything helps! Thank you!
