Looking to add SFH(s) in Rockaway and on Long Island that are in need of rehab work. Has anyone had luck in these areas? Any recommendations on specific locations or people that could help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi All,

I currently live in NYC and work for a real estate development consulting company that does work solely in the boroughs. I am looking to flip houses in the surrounding New York area - North/Central New Jersey and Northern New Jersey where prices are more feasible. 

Has anyone had any success in New Jersey? I am starting from scratch and do not have a precise location in mind, but wanted to hear people's thoughts! 

I have a rockstar team of contractors in the New York area which is why I want to keep it semi close to the city (hour or so out).

Blake - Chris couldn't have said it better. Read the management agreement and understand the correct way to go about terminating it. This is most certainly not normal and should not be how your investment gets managed!

I get wholesale deals sent to me from a market across the country than me. Before purchasing the property, I would like someone to conduct a brief walk-through of the property to ensure there is not anything big missing from the pictures that would push a rehab estimate much higher than expected. Does anyone have any recommendations on how I should go about this?
