@Marielle Walter I definitely agree with Remington on this. The rooming house/micro units idea is possible and I know someone currently doing it near Ohio State campus. They have a 6 bed, 3 bath house that has the rooming house license (which in and of itself is not hard to get) and rent by the room (about $500 per room including utilities), but the management of such a thing from a long distance would be your most challenging task.

The investment market is very strong here in Columbus and there are many good options depending on your strategies/goals.
